Strange Piece started here, on canvas, before it ever touched a shirt. The clothing line ran off with the name. The paintings stayed put. When the split happened, the paintings kept the raw scrawl and private symbols that were always part of the work. The shirts became something cleaner, made for a different kind of wearing. This is where the original work actually lives. Nothing rebranded. Nothing cleaned up for retail.
